"Coralbean, Cherokee bean - Erythrina herbacea"

National Volunteer Month and
National Native Plant Month

are joining hands
at The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail
on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Lend a hand at the April Trailday
and get a free Florida native plant!
It's time to prune the Bald Cypress trees planted as part of the lakefront restoration project in 2020. Volunteers with a lot or a little or no experience in tree trimming are welcome to join us from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m., or come earlier for Sunrise Yoga or continental breakfast on the trailhouse porch.

Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring your water bottle - we will supply plenty of cold water for refills. Other things to bring are gloves, hat, sunscreen, pruning shears, and loppers. We have a limited supply of tools to share so don't worry if you don't have your own.

Please consider becoming a Florida Scrub-Jay Trail member and contributing to our cause of protecting the Florida Scrub-Jay from extinction while supporting our children as they explore our great Florida outdoors.
