But it looks like the weather will be in our favor for Trailday on Saturday, February 22 - a clear, cool, beautiful day for trail maintenance from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m. This is the time of year we start our annual trimming of the scrub oaks, and we need all the people, pole saws, loppers, and hand pruners we can get.   Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring your water bottle - we will supply plenty of cold water for refills. Other things to bring are gloves, hat, sunscreen, pruning shears, and loppers. We have a limited supply of tools to share so don't worry if you don't have your own.  We have a lot to do soon before nesting begins.  Free guided tours of The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail are offered the first Saturday of each month (October - March) 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m   For further information or to reserve your spot, please call 352-429-5566 or e-mail info@scrubjaytrail.org.
