Literally. At the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, volunteering is for the birds…and the butterflies…and the gopher tortoises…and the bees…and the habitat…and the environment…and the future!

Saturday, September 26, 2020, will be a spectacular fall day with temperatures “dipping” into the high 80’s – a perfect day to experience the joys of volunteering for trail maintenance. Come early and start your day with sunrise yoga by the lake. Yoga is for the birds, too, as they sing and call and tweet and chirp – we never know what birds will come to check out our tree pose.

Trailwork gets underway at 8:30 a.m. and goes until 11:00 a.m.

Bring your water bottle - we will supply plenty of cold water to refill your bottle. Other things to bring are gloves, hat, sunscreen, shovel, and pruning shears. We have a limited supply of tools to share so don’t worry if you don’t have your own.
