Our blissful sunrise yoga starts at 7:00 a.m. and lets us enjoy the natural beauty of the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail as our guest instructor George Rossell leads us through calming, reflective poses that are suitable for any experience level. All you need to bring is your mat and your enthusiasm. (No charge)

John Thomton, our #1 Florida Scrub-Jay Trail bird expert, will be BIRDING from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
This is John's last scheduled Trailday birding of 2019, so the first Saturday of spring will be the ideal time to benefit from his expertise.
John has created our Birding Checklist over the years and keeps the updated list of “Birds Seen on The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail.” Join John and his family on Saturday for one more great birding adventure.

It takes WORK to maintain the Trail! Volunteer David Biega brought in the grapple to help with restoration of the eastern side of the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail.

Trailday - trail maintenance will continue on Saturday from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m. We will continue pruning the scrub oaks on the western trail, getting ready for nesting season for the Florida Scrub-Jays.
Please bring loppers, hand pruners, and gloves if you have them. If not, we have limited availability of equipment to loan for the event. Everyone should wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring your water bottle - we will supply plenty of cold water to refill your bottle.
The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail will have a booth at The Lake Louisa State Park Nature Fest in Clermont on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 9am-2pm.
Stop by our booth for a fun adventure with our educational gopher tortoise, make a rubbing to take home of the Florida Scrub-Jay and guess which tracks belong to which animal.

No Child Left Behind - Fishing and Boating Camp
You can help sponsor a child to go to Fishing and Boating Skills Summer Camp.
We believe no child should be left behind due to lack of funding. Every year you help with our scholarship program to send children to camp. One week of day camp all inclusive is $225.00. For details visit www.scrubjaytrail.org or contact cathy@scrubjaytrail.org

Can You Help Build a Larger Fishing Dock?
You helped build our initial dock. Can you help again to enlarge it?
Many children would like to have the opportunity to fish from the dock but we need to enlarge it. Our goal is to have it completed this spring in time for Summer Camp. We still have several thousands of dollars to raise….but every dollar helps…small or large. You can change a child’s life! Thank you!
