GROW YOUR OWN MUSHROOMS

Learn to identify and grow edible and medicinal mushrooms! This class will cover mushroom identification and feature five of the best and easiest to find and cultivate edible mushrooms. There will be hands on demonstrations on how to grow delicious and nutritious mushrooms in your own backyard.
Mushroom enthusiast Terry Meer will be sharing his experiences of foraging and growing with the class. He will explore what species to grow, companion planting in your garden, mulching, most effective growing methods, myco-remediation and much more.
The first half of the class will be classroom learning from spores to fruiting bodies. The second half will include hands-on mushroom production of log inoculation of a delicious shitake.
You will take home a mushroom log to care for at your own home. The workshop is limited to only 25 participants, so register early!
