AUTUMN EQUINOX CELEBRATION
SEPTEMBER 22, 2016 9:30AM - 11:00AM
The Autumn Equinox offers a quiet walk into balance. Daytime and nighttime are the same length; the fast pace of the summer is slowing down. It's a good time to take stock of blessings received, share with someone else what's happened in your life, and give thanks together.
We invite you to join us for a special Autumn Equinox ceremony at our favorite Florida Scrub-Jay Trail. We will walk the directions with special prayers, and at exactly 10:21AM we experience together a universe in balance.
At that moment we will be taken into silence with beautiful flute music played by Myron and Sandy Leggett. They play Native American style flutes, including a special Eagle Bone Whistle molded from an actual Golden Eagle wing bone owned by R. Carlos Nakai, a Native American flute player of Navajo/Ute heritage. Myron will be playing an exact replica crafted by Ken Light into Myron's 'Singing Little Flute'.
