DR. MARC MINNO PRESENTS
"WILD WORLD OF EDIBLE PLANTS"
MARCH 31, 2012 10:30AM - 12:30AM
Many of you have had the privilege of meeting Dr. Marc Minno at our workshops or at our National Wildlife Federation Habitat Steward Trainings we have hosted over the past 11years. Most likely you associate him with his many fabulous butterfly books such as Butterfly Gardening in Florida. What many of you may not know is he has a tremendous amount of knowledge and personal hands on experience with identifying those Incredible Edibles in our backyards.
With many of us searching for healthier lifestyles and becoming more aware of our great outdoors, we have had an influx of requests for a program that could help us identify those incredible edibles.
On March 31, 2012 from 10:30am-12:30am you will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Marc Minno as he presents "Wild World of Edible Plants" at The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail in Clermont, FL.
Participants will examine live specimens of edible plants as Marc discusses where they grow and how to identify them. Then the group will walk around in search of nature's edible delicacies and learn what it takes to prepare them. It's amazing to discover what's in our own backyards when we know what to look for!
