BATS OF FLORIDA WORKSHOP
For Land Managers and those working with bats

Bats have played an integral part of our communities
for hundreds of years. Numerous myths and misnomers have followed
for as many years. Those that have had the opportunity to train
and study bats know the advantages of having bat colonies and how
they can greatly reduce pesticide budgets and benefit your community.
We
invite you to the Bats of Florida Workshop, Friday, May
13th, 3:30pm-10:00pm
at The Florida Scrub-Jay
Trail, Clermont.
Topics covered: Introduction of bats, natural
history and diversity, echolocation, bats of Florida, habitats,
distribution and identification, bat houses, exclusion of bats
in buildings, bats and public health, bat watching and listening
with bat detectors.
Live
bats will be shown during this workshop sponsored by and The
Florida Scrub-Jay Consortium.
