Sherry Boas Book Program and Book Signing

SHERRY BOAS PRESENTS PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY AT BOOK SIGNING
JANUARY 22, 2011   10AM-NOON

Sherry Boas: Simply Wild, Untamed Wonders Large and Small

Meet Sherry Boas, author of Simply Wild: Untamed Wonders Large and Small when she presents a slice of life in the country and book signing at The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, in Clermont, FL on Saturday, January 22 from 10am-noon. From her Central Florida homestead surrounding a 12-acre lake, Sherry Boas writes about what she knows best - family, lakeside living and the world of nature. Against a backdrop of forests, gardens, bamboo and wildlife, her intimate observations express passion and concern for life's everyday treasures.

Beginning at 10am Sherry will takes us through a colorful photographic journey of her newest book followed by a book signing.

Mother of four and grandmother of one, Sherry lives with her husband Ralph in Groveland, Florida, where they own and operate Beautiful Bamboo, a bamboo nursery. Her articles on Florida living, parenting, gardening and nature have appeared in regional and national publications.

Sherry’s first book, Rowing Through The Mist: The Everyday Pleasures of Simply Living was published in October 2009 and includes 42 photo-illustrated stories. In her recently released second book, Simply Wild: Untamed Wonders Large and Small, Sherry shares her passion for all things wild in 45 photo-illustrated stories filled with entertaining anecdotes and fascinating facts about Florida wildlife encounters.

Sherry seeks the inherent beauty and purpose in all creatures regardless of their size, reputation, appearance or habits. Join her as she follows a pair of sandhill cranes from courtship through parenting. Discover which unexpected food source river otters relish. Learn about crazy red birds, thieving squirrels, armor-covered armadillos and moths that resemble hummingbirds.
