Discover the ins and outs of organic gardening
with Jeri Baldwin,
Saturday, September 11 from 8am-4pm at B.B.Brown's
Gardens, Clermont, FL.
In this complete organic gardening workshop, topics
include what and when to plant, benefits of organic gardening,
hands-on experience with testing your soil ph, growing soil, composting,
planting and designing a garden. Did you know there were several
ways to compost? Why are raised beds so much better? Should your
taller plants be planted on the North side or South side of the
garden? Learn how to make a raised bed utilizing the proper materials.
Jeri
Baldwin, born and raised in Marion County Florida, is a seasoned
organic gardener and Florida Cracker. A long time environmentalist,
farmer, writer and photographer Jeri will share her life long knowledge
and mistakes along the way. For all those that say "I don't know
how to garden in Florida", this is your answer. Don't miss out
on another growing season!
