Bean or pea family.

Flowers throughout the year.

An annual shrub that grows to 3 feet tall or more. Leaves are alternate with many leaflets. Yellow flowers have five petals with reddish spots at the base.

Partridge-pea is found throughout Florida.

Plants at the trail have propagated spontaneously.
