Heath family.

Flowers appear in spring.

A perennial, evergreen, shrub that grows
from 1 to 4 feet with small blue-green leaves. Flowers are pink to white and bell-shaped. Has edible berries that are black or blue-black when ripe.

Leaves of this blueberry are less glossy
with a more bluish-gray appearance than Vaccinium myrsinites.
