Hello Scrub-Jay "Adopt-a -Roadway" Clean-Up Trailblazers,
The
Florida Scrub-Jay Trail has joined forces with the Lake
County "Adopt-a-Roadway" program to clean
up a 2 mile stretch of the Monte Vista Rd. roadside.
We are asking
for folks to join us on Saturday, September 18, 2010
from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
In return for your help, you
receive the following benefits:
- A pre-clean-up breakfast on
the Trailhouse porch:
Coffee, Tea, Juice, Quiche, Fruit,
Pastry,
etc. at 8:00am.
- A chance to wear a spiffy Day-Glo vest and look
like you're on a prison road gang.
- A really
good feeling for helping to cleanup our highways.
- A Cookout following the clean-up featuring burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers,
baked beans and any dish you would like to add.
- BONUS GAME:
Most unique item found wins a Florida Scrub-Jay T-Shirt .

If you'd like to donate to the breakfast
or cookout table we have plenty of refrigerator space so feel free
to bring it with you in the morning.

September 16th at 11am so we'll know how many spiffy vests
to pick up. We have a limited supply of vest so reserve
your spot early.
