At The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, we know that every day is Earth Day, and this year we are specifically celebrating Earth Day on Saturday,
April 27.
Scouts from a local troop will join us to plant scrub oaks and other plants, all of which will provide habitat for the Florida Scrub-Jay along with hundreds of other species that rely on the Florida sandhill and scrub to survive.

This will be an opportunity to learn more about native flora and fauna while recognizing the importance of every individual who contributes in any way they can to help make the world around them better.
Our gathering hours will be from 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Feel free to enjoy a light bite to eat and a cup of coffee or tea before we begin planting at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 11:00 a.m.
Remember, everything you do makes a difference, and you will be able to see and feel the difference you make in just a few hours at The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail.

Get a free Earth Day or Earth Month sticker while supplies last!
Bring your water bottle – we will supply plenty of cold water to refill your bottle. Other things to bring to Saturday’s Trailday are gloves, hats, pruning shears, and loppers. We have a limited supply of tools to share, so don’t worry if you don’t have your own. Wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, hat, sunscreen, and, insect spray.

Sunrise yoga by the lake begins at 7:00 a.m.
