Trailday at The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail

Saturday, September 23

Don't let the weather stop you from joining us on Saturday from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m. for trail maintenance. We will be celebrating the continued growth of the Bald Cypress trees planted three years ago - they are doing incredibly well. Of course, other things that we don't want also grow incredibly well and require cutting, trimming, and pulling to give the Cypress trees the room they need. It is amazing, though, what our volunteers can accomplish and clear in such a short time.

Please bring any hand pruners or loppers you have (we have a limited availability of equipment to loan for the day). Everyone should also wear gloves, closed-toed shoes, and long pants. Bring your water bottle - we will supply plenty of cold water to refill your bottle.

Your support of The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail through membership or donations helps continue our efforts to maintain the scrub habitat and protect the Florida Scrub-Jay from extinction.
