Summer is here and we are growing our own shade at The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail to provide future relief from Florida's hot hot hot days!

Our special guests at the June Garden Party are...Bald Cypress Trees!

They will get our attention as we use our Trailday hours (8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) to help nature along by continuing our maintenance of these trees that are part of the lakefront restoration project.
These trees can reach a height of 20 ft within four years, and we are so excited that many of them will thrive and provide environmental benefits - including shade! - for a 1000 years to come…with a little help during these early years.

Bring your water bottle – we will supply plenty of cold water to refill your bottle. Other things to bring to Saturday’s Trailday are gloves, hats, pruning shears, and loppers. We have a limited supply of tools to share, so don’t worry if you don’t have your own.

Our Garden Party starts with blissful lakeside yoga at 7:00 a.m.

Dianna will lead us through calming, reflective poses that are suitable for any experience level. All you need to bring is your mat and your enthusiasm.
(No charge)

You are always invited to
come see this Garden Spot of Lake County.
