Happy Holidays from The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail

Saturday, December 21,
for yoga and Trailday

Need some reflective, peaceful time during all the holiday stress?

Blissful sunrise yoga at 7:00 a.m. may be just what you are looking for. Dianna leads us through warm, reflective poses that are suitable for any experience level. All you need to bring is your mat and your enthusiasm.

Our trail maintenance doesn't stop for the holidays, although it may be enhanced by a cup of eggnog. We clean and trim and drink and pull weeds, always with the thought of returning this habitat to its natural scrub environment as our gift to the Florida Scrub-Jay and the other wild creatures, flora and fauna the trail supports.

8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

This Saturday we will work on our west side and bring out the pole saws and anything that can help to cut back the trees to a more manageable scrub “bush." We will focus on the trees we could not reach last year; anyone who has a pole saw is encouraged to bring it. Others can participate by bringing loppers or helping to carry the debris to the side of the trail for pick up.

Any volunteering is greatly appreciated!

Everyone should wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Bring your water bottle - we will supply plenty of cold water to refill your bottle.
