LEGENDARY SINGER JOHN SEBASTIAN
COMES TO CLERMONT TO BENEFIT THE FLORIDA SCRUB-JAY

"An Evening with John Sebastian" will be presented at the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail in Clermont as part of this year's WinterFair, on Friday evening, December 20, 2013, starting at 7:00pm.
As the lead singer, guitarist and, most importantly, the songwriter for 60's supergroup The Lovin' Spoonful, John Sebastian became a permanent part of our American Musical tapestry.
At the height of Beatlemania, the band merged the tradition of roots music with a decidedly modern twist that just didn't match the British invasion, creating a new American sound that launched them firmly into the future. The Lovin' Spoonful's first seven singles rocketed into the Top 10 and gave the band six #1 hits including "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice", "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind", "Daydream", "Six O'Clock", and the all time favorite pop anthem "Do You Believe in Magic."
After a huge #1 solo hit "Welcome Back" from the hit TV series, more than two dozen albums and thousands of performances around the world, he remains in demand as a solo artist, studio musician, TV/Film scorer and songwriter.
Now returning to his roots, yet always including hits that have become rock classics, "An Evening with John Sebastian" will prove once and for all that you really can "believe in the magic of rock and roll."
WinterFair is being held for the 3rd year on Friday evening starting at 7:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, 11490 Monte Vista Road in Clermont.
The event benefits the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail Building Fund for the development of the Florida Scrub-Jay Treatment Center for injured songbirds and wildlife.
