WinterFair 2012 - December 15, 2012
The air is filled with the smell of wood smoke, sausages grilling, chestnuts roasting, hot mulled cider and other tantalizing tastes of the season.
Daytime Activities will include outdoor adventures like an old fashioned horse drawn hayride, kayaking on Flag Lake, searching for treasure with Ranger Rick on the Geocaching Trail and lots of games and fun for the entire family!

The evening concert will present , the award winning balladeer/songwriter, Dean of Florida Folk Music, recently nominated to the Florida Hall of Fame; who has shared the stage and the airwaves with Pete Seeger, Garrison Keillor, and Will McLean; and , whose music is a down home foot stomping blend of bluegrass, gospel and traditional American mountain music, wrapped around an environmental theme.

Cathy is a jazz vocalist and pianist, bluegrass guitarist and folksinger/songwriter. |

The core members of Boilin’ Oil are Chris Demers, guitar and Max Williams, mandolin. The band plays an acoustic music with an emphasis on bluegrass, swing, blues, and original music inspired by their varied influences. Having been through many incarnations since 2002, the band has honed its sound at performances all over Florida. They have a regular gig at Satchel’s Pizza in Gainesville, FL and recently completed a recording, entitled Woodshed, of all original material they have been creating and working on over several years |

Singer/Songwriter Carly Bak has performed Solo as well as with (Sabal, Louie Palma, Southern Pace...) She has two albums into her songwriting career – weaving soulful harmonies, rhythmic americana melodies, and a blend of folk/blues/country textures – drawing on influences such as Joni Mitchell, Patsy Cline, Emylou Harris, Etta James, and Eagles. Carly's "Boil That Sugarcane Down" is a prize winner in the Will McLean Songwriting Contest. She is currently active in the Florida Folk/Americana Circuit......"I have many passions but all stem from my childhood infatuation with adventure, nature, folklore, and watching people!.....Music and songwriting is my therapy and a way of sorting out life!" |

Jim and Carolyn Dunn met in a rock band in 1975 and have been playing music together since then. Jim plays electric & acoustic guitar, and Carolyn plays electric and upright bass. Jim and Carolyn discovered the Florida folk community in 2004, and they're having a terrific time performing all over Florida. They are nature enthusiasts and enjoy supporting organizations that help protect Florida’s environment; Carolyn and Jim write and perform songs, including “Little Scrub-Jay”, about protecting Florida’s wildlife and Florida history. |
