Blooms in March, April and May.
A perennial
herb that grows to 2 feet. Has slender, hairy stems bearing
pairs of lance-shaped leaves. Tubular flowers that are deep-rose
on the outside and white on the inside occur in short-stalked
pairs at the top of the plant.
Penstemon is found in sandhills, flatwoods
and/or secondary woods in most of
the Panhandle of Florida,
North Florida and parts of Central Florida. |
