Mint family.

Flowers all year but especially in spring.

An herb having square, hairy stems with opposite leaves that are often mixed green with purple. Flowers are bluish-purple and tubular. Grows to two feet.

Found throughout Florida.

The American Indians made tea from this plant to treat colds, coughs and asthma.
Other folk remedies include treatment for cancer and warts.
